Techniques covered include: gyotaku (fish printing); leaf and produce printing; UV reactive dyes, & heliographic imaging (sun printing). Explore the possibilities of printing on fabric using acrylic and transparent paints with forms from nature. Six hours. $15 materials fee.

Outer Limits - Edge Finishing Techniques

This class introduces an assortment of 20 different ways to finish the edges of your innovative or art quilts, using hand and machine sewing as well as non-traditional materials and supplies. Six hours.

Surface Design Sampler

Play with a large variety of materials and supplies on fabric  - paintstiks, inks, paints, mediums, metallic foil, inktense pencils, water-soluble pastels - more than a dozen in all. This class is the perfect chance to try out all of the hot new supplies with no pressure, just play. Six hours, $20 materials fee

All About Image Transfers

Learn direct and indirect transfer methods to add image to your projects. Transfer Artist Paper, acrylic paint, solvent and medium transfers, plus direct printing on a variety of fabrics will be covered. Students transfer images from their own photos. Four or six hours. $15 materials fee.

Stampmaking for Quilt Artists

Make your own original, unqiue stamps. Carve stamps from soft blocks and create stamps from acrylic and found objects. Print your designs on fabric and experiment with repeating, simple, and complex designs. Six hours. $15 materials fee
